" Who knows, in ten years we can all be flying round Volantises “he adds.
Volantis is controlled remotely and fly with 12 battery-powered propellers. Flown by a trained pilot who specializes in unmanned vehicles , which was announced with Lady Gaga in a warehouse in Brooklyn , New York City, in November last year.

Speaking to Dezeen in XO London headquarters Study, Males explains how the aircraft is powered rotor blades 12 and borrows from technology used in the manufacture of unmanned aircraft.
"It's known as a hex 12. Have six arms and 12 rotors. Each arm has two rotors that provide the thrust to lift [the] land “he says.

The truss section in the center of the aircraft, which is held Gaga by a belt, is made of titanium. The rotors and the bodice as are made of carbon fiber.
The passenger is inside a white blouse that is connected to the armature. “Even though the machine had to be strong, but also wanted it to have the affordances fashion. So did a beautiful front cover which completed the dress," says males.

White cylinders surrounding the rotors in the hexagonal array and are connected in the center above the dress, which rests on the floor with a circular stand when not in flight.

Study XO has also worked with other high profile artists, including Black Eyed Peas and Azealia Banks to create the hybrid stage costumes that combine fashion and technology.
"We bring these themes together in this space - quite unique in this environment," says Males, who is now working on launching a new brand of ready- to-wear development of some of the ideas stage work of the company.
